Never experienced SCUBA diving before and want to give it a try? Sign up for a Discover Scuba Diving session starting every day at 1.30 pm. After a theory briefing, discover the fun sensations of diving and get confident about your skills in the warm, shallow waters of Anahita Resort’s swimming pool. Like it so far? Wait no longer and embark on Indigo Divers vessel for a fun dive in the lagoon!
Dive trips leave every morning around 9.00 am for usually 2 dives. The East coast of Mauritius has a great diversity of dives to offer (lagoon, outer reef, drift dives). The choice of the dive site can be influenced by weather conditions.
We also organize:
- Refresher dives
- Exploration dives with private instructor
- Private dives for groups
- Dive excursions to other parts of the island (includes 2 dives + transport)
- Night dives
We teach all PADI courses, from Bubblemaker to Divemaster. All courses are certified by PADI and any participants will be sent cards and affirmation by PADI.
For children aged 8 to 9 Bubblemaker is a safe, easy and fun way for children to experience the thrill of diving in confined water.
Also for ages 8 to 9, PADI Seal Team further allows young children to improve their diving skills whilst remaining in a save and confined environment.
The first PADI level, with a minimum entry age of 10 years old, it comprises of two half day courses including three confined water sessions and two open water dives, plus three chapters of the PADI manual, which can be learned during the course or online using the PADI eLearning system. Scuba Diver allows you to dive to a depth 12 meters, with a PADI certified divemaster or instructor.
One level above PADI Scuba Diver, Open water takes four half days and consists of 5 confined water dives and 4 open water dives plus 5 chapters to be completed in the PADI Manual or online plus an exam. Open Water is the base standard PADI certification which allows you to dive with a dive buddy who had the same or higher certification as you, to a maximum depth of 18 meters.
Advanced Open Water is a dive certification which allows you to explore various different underwater specialities, including Deep Dives, Navigation Dives, Naturalist Dives, Multi-level Dives, Drift Diving, Wreck Dives, Night Dives. When taking Advanced Open water, students choose 5 specialities and it will take around three half days. Advanced Open Water allows you to dive to a depth of 30 Meters with a dive buddy.
Speciality Courses allow you to refine your diving and become more specialist in your dive skills, we offer the following specialities: Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, Night Diver, Multi Level Diver and Naturalist Diver. Each speciality comprises of between one and four dives as well as the theory.
These two courses teach you how to respond in the case of an emergency both in and above the water. They allow you to progress and improve your diving further and Emergency First Response is applicable anywhere, not just in the water. These courses will take five half days maximum and will comprise of both practical and theory exercises.
Master Scuba Diver allows you to become a Master in diving, it only requires 5 speciality courses as described above.
